The Homestead Kitchen e-book

I am just beyond excited to announce the release of my book, The Homestead Kitchen.  I have often referred to it as a cookbook, but it is actually so much more than that!

It is a guide to taking control of your kitchen.

So often as homesteaders, we find ourselves overwhelmed by the foods we worked so hard to produce.  Fruits and vegetables from our garden (or our CSA basket) overflow the counters, raw milk is taking over the fridge, the chickens are laying eggs like crazy, and yet, it’s still hard to figure out how to get a fresh meal on the table each night.  We raise it, we grow it, and by golly, we want to EAT it!

The Homestead Kitchen will guide you to plan menus around what you have on hand.  It provides frugal tips to help you get every ounce of goodness from your fresh ingredients and it will give you the confidence you need to turn your ingredients into easy, delicious meals.

The book includes 40 real-food recipes, each featuring fresh ingredients that can be raised on a small homestead or purchased at many farmers’ markets.  In addition, each recipe includes a mouth-watering picture to help you visualize the completed dish.

Do you struggle to get dinner on the table each night, even though you have great ingredients at your fingertips?  This is the book for you!

Here are a few of the recipes you will find in the book:

Chevre Dip.  My go-to dip for parties.

Italian White Beans and Greens Soup.  My 18-year-old daughter’s favorite! (Seriously, she asked for this for her 18th birthday dinner!)

Pumpkin, Sausage, and Mushroom Risotto.  Rich, creamy and amazing, this is fantastic comfort food!

Spaghetti Carbonara.  Also known as bacon and eggs spaghetti, this dish is ready in a flash, uses up those extra eggs from the counter, and it is super-yummy!

Cherry Tomato Bruschetta.  Simple, fresh, tomato perfection.

Whole Wheat Cheesy Sausage Muffins.  Come on, what’s better than a meat muffin?  These babies are great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

Drunken Peach Cobbler.  Hands down, this is my favorite dessert.

Key Lime Chevre Cheesecake.   The only complaint my family had about this recipe is that I was stingy with the portions!

But wait, there’s more!  (I’ve always wanted to say that!)

As a free gift for buying The Homestead Kitchen, you will have access to three exclusive downloadable printable sheets that go along with the book.  You will receive the printable canning jar labels, printable kitchen inventory sheet and the printable menu plans to help you take control of your kitchen.

What are you waiting for?  Join in the fun and order your copy today!

Advantages of the e-book:

  • Immediate download, no waiting!
  • One page = One recipe.  I was very mindful of printing when I formatted the book.  You won’t need to print lots of pages to get a usable recipe.  Each recipe has one page for the recipe and one page for the photo to make it very easy to print just what you need to get dinner on the table while using as little of your precious printer ink as necessary!

Less expensive.  Let’s face it, e-books are just less expensive to produce than a printed book.  The savings are passed along to you!

Both formats are great options, so order the one that fits your lifestyle best!
